Fleece and brushed knit keep you warm, but if you tend to overheat they can be too warm. Satin and silk do not absorb moisture, but they do not cling to the skin either.

Look at the details: a drawstring waistband lets you adjust the trousers without pressing on the stomach, and a button-through top makes dressing easier with a painful shoulder or after surgery. Buttons and stiff trims across the back can get in the way at night.
