Sports bras

A sports bra limits breast movement during exercise. It should be chosen based on the intensity of the workout, not just breast size. For yoga, Pilates, and walking, a model with light support, pulled over the head, will suffice. For running, skipping rope, and interval training, a strong model is needed, usually with a back closure, a wide band under the bust, and thicker straps.

Two design solutions work differently. Compression bras press the bust against the chest and work well for cup size C. Encapsulation bras have separate cups for each breast and work better for larger busts, as they also limit side-to-side movement.

Material is important: fabrics with polyamide and elastane wick away moisture and dry quickly, while cotton absorbs moisture and stays wet. Also check the seams under the arm and along the cup – flat seams won't chafe during repetitive movement.

Check the size in motion, not standing still: jump a few times in the changing room. Wash after every workout at 30 degrees without fabric softener, as it clogs the fibers and reduces breathability. Free delivery from PLN 199, returns within 14 days.

A sports bra has a different purpose than an everyday model: it's meant to limit breast movement during exercise, not just support them. Constructions fall into two groups. Compression bras press the breast against the chest and work well for smaller busts and low-intensity workouts. Encapsulation bras have separate cups for each breast and are better suited for larger sizes, as well as for running and jumping.

The material is also a factor. Polyamide and elastane knit fabric wicks away moisture faster than cotton, which becomes heavy and takes longer to dry when sweaty. Flat seams and the absence of metal elements in contact areas reduce the risk of chafing during prolonged exertion.

Also check how it's put on. Pull-over models offer stronger support but are harder to remove after a workout. Versions with a back clasp allow for band adjustment, which can be important for extended wear.

If you're looking for soft construction models for home wear, see wireless bras. Leggings are also useful for training. Check your size in the size chart.

Sizing for sports underwear can differ from everyday lingerie – some models use S, M, L instead of band and cup letters. In such cases, refer to the underbust measurement provided in the description, not the t-shirt size you wear daily.
