Bras, C cup

A C cup corresponds to a difference of approximately 16 centimeters between the bust circumference and the underbust circumference. This is the point at which bra construction begins to genuinely impact comfort. In practice, the letter describes the difference in circumferences, not the absolute size of the breasts: the same cup size for a 70 and 90 band will be a completely different volume.

From a C cup upwards, it's worth paying attention to the width of the underbust band and whether the underwire fully encompasses the breast up to the armpit. Compression sports bras can still work, but for running, a model with separate cups will be more effective.

Check your size with two measurements: measure your underbust circumference tightly, on an exhale, and your bust circumference loosely, at its widest point. The difference indicates the letter, and the underbust circumference indicates the number. Each size has sister sizes: the same bust will also fit in a band one size smaller with a larger cup letter, and in a band one size larger with a smaller cup letter. If your size is temporarily unavailable in a specific model, this is the first place to look.

The underbust band should lie horizontally and allow two fingers to be pulled under it; the underwire should rest on your ribs, not on your breast; and the straps should not leave marks. Wash in a laundry bag at 30 degrees, fastened, and dry flat. Free delivery on orders over 199 PLN, 14-day returns.

A C cup is not a constant volume—it describes a difference of about fifteen centimeters between the bust circumference and the underbust circumference. That's why 70C, 80C, and 90C hold different amounts of tissue, despite having the same letter. This collection gathers C-cup models in available bands so that you can compare styles and then choose the size within a specific model.

Sizing starts with the band. A correct band runs horizontally, fits snugly, and doesn't ride up when you raise your arms. Only then do you check the cup: the tissue should not spill out at the top or sides, and the gore between the cups should touch your chest. If the gore gapes, the cup is too small, even though the sensation can be the opposite.

Virtually all constructions are available in a C cup. A model with a molded, smooth cup provides the most neutral line under thin knitwear. A soft, unpadded cup is more comfortable for all-day wear and better reflects the natural shape. A balconette lifts the bust and exposes the décolletage. Semi-padded lace models are a compromise between appearance and support. Sports versions should have a wide band and wider straps.

What to watch out for? The fastening slack—a new bra should be fastened on the widest hook set. Be aware that sizes vary between manufacturers, so the label from your previous model won't replace a size chart. And sister sizes: if a particular model in your size is unavailable, an alternative might be one band size larger with one cup size smaller, or vice versa.
