How to choose your size

Sister sizes for 65E: 70D. If 65E fits well around the band but the cup digs in or gapes, reach for a sister size instead of changing only the letter — the cup volume stays similar and it is the band that changes.

With this cup size support matters most: underwires, wider side panels and a multi-row hook fastening hold the bust without loading the shoulders.

65E is a narrow band with a roomy cup: about 65 centimetres under the bust and a difference of around twenty centimetres. That set of proportions comes up less often than the numbers from the middle of the size grid, so there are fewer styles here and the fit is worth checking especially carefully.

If 65 turns out to be too tight, the sister size with a similar volume is 70D. We have gathered every style with this letter, whatever the band size, in the cup E collection. Since the choice in this number is limited, when a purchase works out it makes sense to take a second piece in nude straight away, because that is the colour that disappears under light clothing. A black bra under a white blouse always shows, however well it fits.

Washing and care

The most important thing is how the bra behaves on your back. A short band works under high tension, so it has to be made from a dense, springy knit and finished with a wider clasp. A thin, slack band will stretch after a few washes and the bra will start to ride up, and then the straps take over the whole weight.

What else to check

With a cup this deep, a poor fit shows first around the underarm. If the wire lies on breast tissue instead of behind it, you need a cup with a wider base rather than a tighter band. Check by running a finger along the wire from the gore to the underarm: it should follow the ribs.
