When choosing cotton underwear, pay attention to the composition stated on the label. Pure cotton breathes excellently, but after a few washes, it can stretch and lose its shape. The addition of a few percent elastane helps maintain its form and prevents panties or bras from slipping down during the day. Combed cotton has a smoother, more durable surface than regular cotton, and interlock and single jersey differ in knit thickness: interlock is denser and less sheer.

What to watch out for? First, seams – flat, overlocked seams won't show under fitted clothing. Second, the waistband elastic: elastic encased in a tunnel is more comfortable than elastic sewn on top, especially for extended wear. Third, sizing – cotton knitwear can shrink during the first wash at a higher temperature, so wash it at 30-40 degrees Celsius and do not tumble dry.

Cotton styles cover a full range: from classic full briefs and high-waisted panties, through women's and men's boxers, to non-wired bras and sports tops.
