How to choose your size

Sister sizes for 70F: 65G, 75E. If 70F fits well around the band but the cup digs in or gapes, reach for a sister size instead of changing only the letter — the cup volume stays similar and it is the band that changes.

With a larger cup, look for styles with wide side panels, a firm band and broader straps. Soft underwired cups often hold better than rigid moulded foam.

Cup F on a band of 70 is a large volume on a narrow rib cage. Three elements of the construction are crucial: the length of the underwire, the height of the sides and how the straps are sewn in. The wire should encircle all of the breast tissue and end behind its outer edge, otherwise the breast will escape under the arm.

Higher, reinforced sides hold the tissue in from the underarm and define the waist more clearly. Straps sewn closer to the middle of the back slip less on narrow shoulders. The gore between the cups should sit against the chest - if it stands away, the cup is too small or the wire is the wrong curve.

The sister sizes are 65FF and 75E. At this volume the differences between brands are at their largest, so it is worth comparing the same style in neighbouring numbers, for example in the 75E collection or in the combined plus sizes.

Which style to choose

The collection includes styles from Kinga, Gaia and Selene, brands that make full cups with a lining and a reinforced side. Treat non-wired styles as an addition for shorter wear rather than your everyday basic - with a cup F they give noticeably less lift.

Washing and care

Remember the care too, because with this construction it is mainly the band that wears out. Washing in a bag at 30 degrees, without spinning and without a tumble dryer, noticeably extends the period in which the bra keeps the right tension and does not ride up during the day.
