Sister sizes for 85B: 80C, 90A. If 85B fits well around the band but the cup digs in or gapes, reach for a sister size instead of changing only the letter — the cup volume stays similar and it is the band that changes.

In size 85B the underbust measurement falls between 83 and 87 cm, and the difference between the two measurements is 13-15 cm. That combination is common with a sturdier rib cage and a smaller bust volume.

With a wide band and a shallow cup two mistakes happen easily: cups set too far apart, which leave an empty gap at the centre gore, and a band that stops holding after a few washes. So check how far apart the cups sit in a particular style, and whether the bottom elastic is wider than the edge of the fabric itself.

The sister sizes are 80C and 90A. Moving to a narrower band with a bigger cup is often more comfortable when the band rides up.
