A 90B is a wide band with a relatively shallow cup, meaning a difference in circumference of about ten centimeters. This proportion has a consequence: the bra is mainly supported by the band, and the straps play a secondary role. Therefore, in this size, it is crucial that the band is elastic but not flimsy, and that it has sufficient width at the back.

For a B cup, soft cup bras and bralettes often work well because they don't require strong support from below and at the same time don't create empty space in the cup. If you want more pronounced rounding, constructions with light foam or a small push-up insert will work. Heavily padded models can be too stiff in this size and gape when you lean forward.

A typical sign that you should go down a band size is a bra that, after putting it on, can be pulled away from your back by a whole hand or rotates around your torso. In that case, the solution is an 85 with the cup letter increased by one, not simply tightening the straps.

A similar cup volume with a narrower band can be found in 85C, and the same cup letter in a narrower band can be found in 95B. You can compare the numbers with the size chart. With a shallower cup, also pay attention to the height of the gore: a high gore with a B cup often gapes because there isn't enough tissue to press it against the chest.
