G-cup bras

A G cup corresponds to a difference of approximately 24 centimeters between the bust circumference and the underbust circumference. This is a size where errors in selecting the band size are immediately noticeable. In practice, the letter describes the difference in circumferences, not the absolute size of the breast: the same cup with a 70 and 90 band is a completely different volume.

If the bra rides up your back, the band is too big – go down one band size and up one cup size. Look for models with a high back, as a low back will always ride up with this cup size. For training, choose only models with separate cups.

Check the size with two measurements: measure the underbust circumference tightly, on an exhale, and the bust circumference loosely, at the widest point. The difference indicates the letter, the underbust circumference – the number. Each size corresponds to sister sizes: the same bust will also fit in a band size smaller with a larger cup size, and in a band size larger with a smaller cup size. If your size is temporarily unavailable in a specific model, this is the first place worth checking.

The band under the bust should lie horizontally and allow two fingers to be pulled away from it, the underwire should lie on the ribs and not on the breast, and the straps should not leave marks. Wash in a laundry bag at 30 degrees, fastened, and dry flat. Free delivery from PLN 199, returns within 14 days.

What to look out for

In practice the letter describes the difference between two measurements, not the absolute size of the bust: the same cup on a 70 band and on a 90 band holds a completely different volume.

Which style to choose

If the bra rides up at the back, the band is too big - go down one band size and move the letter up by one. Look for styles with a high back, because a low back always rides up at this cup size. For training, choose only styles with separated cups.

What else is worth checking

Check your size with two measurements: take the underbust measurement firmly, breathing out, and the bust measurement loosely, at the fullest point. The difference gives you the letter, the underbust measurement - the number. Every size has its sister sizes: the same bust also fits a band one size smaller with the next cup up, and a band one size larger with the next cup down. If your size is temporarily unavailable in a particular style, that is the first place worth looking.

Delivery and returns

The band should sit horizontally and pull away about two fingers, the underwires should rest on the ribs rather than on the breast, and the straps should not leave marks. Wash in a laundry bag at 30°C, fastened, and dry flat. Orders over PLN 199 ship free, 14 days to return.

Cup G is a difference in measurements of the order of 28-30 centimetres. In this range comfort is no longer decided by cup volume alone, but by the way the weight is spread across the construction. That is why almost every style in this collection has a cup split into panels, a long underwire reaching well into the underarm and a raised side panel.

The detail that most often decides comfort is the straps. At cup G they should be wide, adjustable on both sides and set closer to the centre of the back, because then they do not slip off the shoulders. The second detail is the centre gore, the piece between the cups: it has to touch the chest along its whole height. If it stands away, the cup is too small, even if the breast fits inside.

At this size it is worth measuring yourself every few months, because changes in weight show up mainly in the band, not in the letter. You will find the neighbouring volumes in cup F and cup H. Step-by-step measuring instructions are gathered on the bra sizes page.

The styles gathered here come in bands from 65 to 105, with most items in 70 and 75. The vast majority use lace combined with mesh, a fabric that holds its shape better than smooth knit at this volume and does not stretch sideways over the course of the day.
