The right style depends on what you are wearing and how long you keep it on. A full cup gives the most support and works best day to day. A balconette leaves the top of the bust uncovered and suits wide necklines. A half cup sits somewhere between the two. Non-wired styles are comfortable for working from home and for sleeping, but they lift less. A push-up raises the bust and brings it together, while a sports bra limits movement during exercise.
Size matters
A badly fitted bra is the most common cause of discomfort: straps sliding off, the band riding up, underwires digging in. Fabrics and comfort
Fabric matters less for fit than construction does, but it decides everyday comfort: smooth microfibre disappears under clothes, cotton breathes, lace is the most decorative. Our range includes brands such as Selene, Sielei and Kleo.
