Three elements are key. A wide band with at least three rows of hooks distributes pressure over a larger area. A long underwire that extends past the armpit keeps tissue in place. Straps wider than a centimeter, positioned closer to the spine, are less likely to slip off the shoulders.

Avoid models with shallow cups and narrow bottom edges – with larger volumes, they quickly lose their shape. It's better to choose divided cups, with a side panel of non-stretch fabric crosswise.
