What to look out for

In practice the letter describes the difference between two measurements, not the absolute size of the breast: the same cup on a 70 band and on a 90 band is a completely different volume.

What else is worth checking

Most styles work well in a B cup: moulded under fitted clothes, balconettes under wide necklines, soft-cup for every day. If the cup wrinkles at the top, try the same band in an A; if the breast spills over the top, move up to a C.

Fabrics and comfort

Check your size with two measurements: take the underbust measurement firmly, breathing out, and the bust measurement loosely, at its widest point. The difference gives the letter, the underbust measurement - the number. Every size has its sister sizes: the same bust also fits one band smaller with the next letter up, and one band larger with the next letter down. If your size is temporarily unavailable in a particular model, that is the first place worth looking.

Delivery and returns

The underbust band should sit horizontal and pull away about two fingers, the underwire should rest on the ribs and not on the breast, and the straps should not leave marks. The letter B corresponds to the bust measurement exceeding the band measurement by 13-15 cm. We have gathered models in this letter in every band size we stock, so that styles can be compared without keeping an eye on the band number.

Remember that the letter on its own says nothing about breast size - a B on a 70 band is a completely different volume from a B on a 95 band. That is why changing the band means adjusting the letter as well: going one band down means going one letter up.

At this volume it is usually the shape of the cup that decides, not its capacity. A cup moulded from a single piece of foam gives a smooth, predictable line under clothes and works well under knitwear. A seamed cup sits more naturally. A push-up moves volume down and in, while a non-wired model keeps the natural shape and is the most comfortable at home.

One more tip: in this letter it is particularly easy to confuse fit with style. If the cup is right at the bottom but wrinkles at the top, the problem is the cut, not the size - simply move from a full cup model to a balconette or a half cup.
